Our purpose.

Enabling well-being without boundaries

Our mission.

Reducing health inequity within our communities.

Collective Leisure was founded by David Burns and Jennifer Barker-Burns in 2019 from a deep sense of social justice, the awareness that global health and well-being are tracking poorly, and the desire to create a sustainable social enterprise.

David’s turbulent childhood and growing up in a deprived community led him to use his drive and skills to make a more significant social impact. Combining this with Jennifer’s passion for cultivating well-being, Collective Leisure was born.

Our approach.

Tackling global priorities, locally.

Our approach aligns with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all members of the United Nations. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are at its heart, an urgent call for action by all countries in a global partnership.

We are tackling global priorities locally, focusing on two specific SDGs: good health and well-being and reducing inequality.

We are also working within the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) framework.
